About This Social Circle Roof Replacement

Existing Roof and Tear-Off

The photos document a residential home with light-colored horizontal siding, white trim, multiple windows, and a low-slope gable-style roof. During the replacement in Social Circle, the previous roofing materials had been removed, exposing the wood structural decking. The exposed deck shows several openings, including a larger round opening and smaller irregular areas, along with remaining dark roofing fragments. A trailer, tools, ladders, and loose roofing materials are visible around the work area as our crew progressed through the tear-off.

Decking and Roof Preparation

With the old roof removed, the visible roof surface consists primarily of oriented strand board decking. The photos show new-looking wood panels laid across the roof, with panel seams and fastener marks visible. Openings around roof penetrations are clearly visible, including the area surrounding a metal vent pipe. Our crew worked across the deck using ladders, hand tools, and roofing equipment, while sections of the roof were prepared for the next layer. The Social Circle job also shows removed metal pieces and debris collected near the trailer.

Underlayment and Penetrations

A later photo shows the roof covered with black printed synthetic underlayment, installed in horizontal courses across the sloped surface. The material is marked with printed lines and roofing graphics, and orange layout or safety lines run across portions of the roof. A metal plumbing or exhaust vent remains visible through the roof, with metal flashing around its base. The photos also show metal edge material along the roof perimeter in earlier preparation stages. These visible components establish the roof’s weatherproofing and penetration details before shingles were shown.

Project Progress in Social Circle

The final photos show the home from the yard while workers remain on the roof, indicating the replacement was still in progress in the sampled images. The roof has a simple gable profile with a ridge line, roof-edge trim, and a prominent metal vent. The surrounding property includes mature trees, grass, a raised deck, outdoor equipment, and an exterior air-conditioning unit.
